As the revenue source continues to shift within the toy companies toward their digital efforts, it only makes sense that their marketing budgets would soon follow.

In Fusion Fall's case they were obviously at an advantage from the perspective of an insider to the data and demographics associated with their audience. They had precise knowledge of who would be interested in continued engagement with the FF experience and when they would be watching.

That's what makes the Hasbro / Discovery joint venture appear to be such a strong move on Hasbro's part. Here they are, desiring to put up several new brand based worlds, and soon they will have the front-end intelligence to build their marketing strategy and plan.
