Jinny Gudmundsen of Gannett News Service recently gave Ratatouille for the Leapster a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5. 360KID developed the Ratatouille title for Leapfrog.
In her review, Gudmundsen describes how the Ratatouille title invites kids to join Remy in Paris, for five educational games that teach reading, spelling, and food facts.
Gudmundsen suggests that the games are best played by children ages 4 to 7. She explains that: "To kids, the games are simply fun; but parents will appreciate the hidden educational agenda. The mechanics are well thought out for young children, and the games offer tutorials when children are struggling. Kids won’t fail at these games, because the game play simply redirects them to the correct choice." In closing, Gudmundsen adds that, "Ratatouille looks and plays well on the Leapster."
